En este grabado el artista muestra al nahual, personaje popular en las historias orales de las comunidades oaxaqueñas, «el nahual», según la tradición, es un ser capaz de transformarse en animal, reflejando una conexión profunda entre la persona y su espíritu protector o su lado más instintivo. En la obra, esta idea puede representarse a través de un personaje híbrido: mitad humano, mitad animal, o en un momento de transición entre ambas formas.

In this print, the artist depicts the nahual, a popular figure in the oral histories of Oaxacan communities. According to tradition, the nahual is a being capable of transforming into an animal, reflecting a profound connection between a person and their guardian spirit or their most instinctive side. In this work, this idea is represented through a hybrid figure: half human, half animal, or in a moment of transition between both forms.
